I have a 2 year old military macaw and the sand perch makes it so I do not have to file or trim her nails however, I do need a large size. She was able to get her beak around the medium and tear off the paper. The sand-e-perch does work wonders, I do not need to maitain my meyers parrots nails, he uses the small size.
